BCCI president Sourav Ganguly confused everyone with his cryptic tweet yesterday. Former Indian player and Captain tweeted a picture on his account in which he mentioned that he is entering in a ‘new chapter’ in his life. This tweet spread like a storm within a few minutes and people started speculating about what that chapter might be.
Everyone started assuming that Ganguly is resigning from the BCCI president post and it did not take much time for some big media houses to confirm this. Some people even said about Ganguly entering into politics since this rumor of him joining politics is from a very long time.
However, with a big turn, all these rumors and speculations stopped when BCCI Secretary Jai Shah was asked about this. Shah himself confirmed that Ganguly is not resigning from the BCCI President post and Ganguly’s post is about something else. A few minutes later, Sourav Ganguly himself came forward and cleared everything. He says that the tweet was about ‘an educational app’ which he is planning to start.
Sourav Ganguly is with Indian Cricket since his debut in 1992. After his retirement in 2008, he was the voice in commentary box. He was elected BCCI President back in October 2019. He still has four months left in his 3-year tenure.
