reasons why RCB couldn't be able to defeat Rajasthan Royals in Qualifiers 2

Royals Challenges Bangalore had a very great IPL 2022. They won 8 matches and qualified for eliminator. They picked some really good players in mega auction. Buying Dinesh Karthik and Hasaranga have been icing on the cake for them.

They defeated Lucknow Super Giants made it into Qualifiers 2 but sadly they couldn’t repeat the same in the clash against Rajasthan Royals. These are the reasons they were unable to crack against Rajasthan royals.

Failure of Openers – The biggest let down for RCB in this IPL is their openers. Both Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli couldn’t be able to perform simultaneously in this season. In the clash against RR, Virat Kohli departed early. While Paf du Plessis played some good shots but he couldn’t maintain a decent strike rate. He gifted his wicket trying to accelerate his innings.

Glenn Maxwell unable to convert his good start into a big score – Glenn Maxwell started well in the innings, smashed a beautiful six on Ashwin and was playing with an outstanding strike rate But in Boult’s over he tried to play pull shot and lost his wicket giving catch to McCoy.

No contribution from Mahipal Lomror & Dinesh Karthik – When Rajat Patidar was managing RCB innings on his own, Lomror came to support him but he couldn’t last much longer as he gifted his wicket to McCoy. The hero of RCB in this tournament Dinesh Karthik couldn’t do much either and got dismissed on the score of 6.

Expensive spells from Siraj & Shabaz – Mohammed Siraj who had responsibility to take wickets in powerplay went wicketless and spent so many runs against Jos Buttler & Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rajasthan managed to add 61 runs in just 5 overs due to the poor bowling of Siraj. Shabaz also failed to stop runs and conceded 35 runs in just his 2 overs.

Poor fielding – Apart from failure of openers and poor bowling in powerplay, RCB players failed to do wonders while fielding too. Mohammed Siraj did misfielding few times and the ball went for boundary. Dinesh Karthik dropped an easy catch of Jos Buttler. If he had would have taken that catch, match result could have been different.
