According to the IPL Governing Council they are planning to commence a full fledged Women’s IPL from 2023. It will be beneficial for the women’s cricket in India and many new young talents will get chances through the Women IPL. The League can be revolutionary in Indian Cricket.
Indian Women’s Team has failed to qualify into the Semifinals of Women’s World Cup 2022 and the team needs more talented players. They will have to find the perfect replacements of Jhulan Goswami and Mithali Raj in the future. So, Women’s IPL can be helpful in finding the raw talent.
We have seen players like Yuzvendra Chahal, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and many more who got limelight from the IPL and made their place in Team India. Jasprit Bumrah is currently the best bowler of Team India in Pace bowling department. So, the Women’s IPL is a good initiative if it happens.
