3 Reasons why Gujrat Titans won the IPL 2022

Gujrat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals in IPL2022 final to clinch trophy. Since the start of the IPL2022 season, various events have taken place that no one expected. One of the important things is that the Gujarat Titans won the championship in the first season of their debut, which has caused a great deal of consternation.

That is, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring just 130 runs for the loss of 9 wickets at the end of 20 overs. In it, Joss Butler hit the highest score of 39 off 35 balls, including 5 fours. Similarly, other players such as Yashasvi  Jaiswal scored 22 out of 16, Riyan Parag (15), Sanju Samson (14), Hetmyer (11) and Trent Boult (11). None of the rest player even crossed the double digit score.

Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya was fabulous. He Conceded just 17 runs and take 3 wickets during his bowling. Then, Gujarat opener Wriddhiman Saha  who came out on top with a simple target of 131 to win, was bowled out for just 5, followed by Matthew Wade who struck out for 8 in a row. As a result, Gujarat lost 2 wickets for 23 runs, then Titans’ captain Hardik Pandya came on the field to score 34 runs and Shubman Gill increased the scorecard with the help of his 45 runs.

Finally, David Miller smashed 32 off 19 balls as Gujarat Titans won by 3 wickets in 18.1 overs for an easy 133 and won the IPL Championship in the 15th season of IPL 2022.Thus, almost 13 years later, the dream of the RR Rajasthan team to “win the IPL Cup” was shattered.

3 Reasons why Gujrat Titans won the IPL 2022  :

  • Pack of match-winning bowlers

Lockie Ferguson along with Mohammed Shami and Alzarri Joseph helped Gujarat put pressure on opposition openers and get rid of them early. Unlike the past seasons, Shami remained consistent with both old and new balls. Rashid Khan again showed his worth in the field and displayed his magical spin bowling all over the grounds.

  • Contribution of Ashish Nehra

Ashish Nehra of Delhi has been recognized as a blunt player among his fellow players. This is not a negative comment but has been said to raise the positive image of Nehra. Whether you are senior or junior to Ashish Nehra, he will talk to both of them in the same manner. Clear, straight. His cricketing logic silences even veteran captains and even the biggest of journalists who consider themselves to be highly professional in memorizing cricket figures and facts.

  • Cool-headed captaincy from Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya emerged as one of the best captains this season. The way Hardik had played at no.4 for Gujrat Titans was absolutely infuriated. He also contributed with his bowling. And how can we forget about his legendary captaincy for the team, he did everything which his team demanded from him.
